Business branches

The Agribusiness sector includes both, the production of raw plant and animal products, as well as further processing into usable foodstuffs and their distribution to the end customer.

In our business unit “Agribusiness & Agri Management international” we focus on unused agricultural resources in Eurasia and Africa by establishing and managing international Agrobusiness projects for the production of agricultural commodities. We bundle the further processing and distribution of these raw materials in our trading business unit.

Our Concept

In all projects, regardless of whether they are set up as a service for clients or for ourselves, we pursue the concept …

  1. to put the economic needs and interests of a country, in which a project is to be set up, including its local conditions at the center of our acting,
  2. to bundle large-scale farming, capture trade, processing and marketing effectively and efficiently on site,
  3. to work together with the people on site and to develop them for further and higher tasks.

Goals, we pursue in international projects of Agribusiness & Agri Management

In doing so, in international projects of Agribusiness & Agri Management we pursue the goals …

  • to increase productivity according to the possible local potential (climate, soil, infrastructure and qualifications) by applying and using the ideal type of soil treatment,
  • the effectiveness and efficiency in production as well as in marketing through the right choice and implementation of measures,
  • and – from the point of view of a circular economy – to ensure the full utilization (100%) of all raw materials produced.

M+H's own way of implementation ...

How we understand to do our job in Agribusiness & Agri Management

We ensure that these goals are achieved in international projects of Agribusiness & Agri Management by …

  • creating the best possible production basis (selection of suitable soils, soil health, nutrient and water supply, infrastructure, mechanization, qualification of employees),
  • introducing the most modern production methods while at the same time improving the production basis,
  • introducing a high degree of mechanization to ensure maximum performance per unit of time (impact)
  • training employees, qualify them and develop them for management functions and leadership roles.

We like the pragmatic and concrete way of implementing planned projects

I. Completed

Republic of Congo

In the past few years we have set up a farm in the Republic of the Congo for a European investor. The task was to reclaim almost 80,000 hectares of bushland and to develop appropriate farm management, including the development of appropriate farm equipment with machines, a solid workforce and a strong management level.

II. Under construction

Republic of Mozambique

We are currently in intensive discussions with government agencies in Mozambique about setting up several projects in the agri business sector in the country. This involves the establishment of very large farms that will produce raw materials for domestic processing and marketing, as well as for domestic meat and fish productions.

The aim of the overall concept is to set up a more or less B2C business for the supply of Africa.

The project offers the state, as part of its current strategic policy, the possibility of reducing maternal and child mortality and chronic malnutrition in the South African Development Community (SADC) through the production of …

  • cereals
  • oil-containing plants
  • high protein plants
  • and fishes

… in large quantities that are processed and packaged and delivered to the consumer via distribution points for regional as well as national consumption.
